SUPPORT
Though the event began in the afternoon, protestors and activists stayed through sunset, cheering on the sidewalk and supporting the small businesses that were tabling nearby.

Mary Jones, seen here in all gray, was one of the organizers for the event. In addition to the Women's March that focused on uplifting women's voices, she also organized a simultaneous Minority Businesses and Culture event where protestors could support small businesses.

The event was organized in tandem with Long Island Peaceful Protest, a nonprofit organization that promotes and organizes non-violent protests against police brutality and systemic racism on Long Island.
